Mermaid

26’ Derwent Class 1944

Full restoration of the 1944 Derwent Class yacht “Mermaid”, sail number D11. After spending a number of years in Melbourne and Sydney, where she sustained considerable damage to her planking owing to her mast jumping out of its step, Mermaid was returned to Kettering by her current owners for a full restoration.

Mermaid will be racing amongst the growing fleet of restored boats at the next Derwent Class World Championships and will be on show at the 2025 Australian Wooden Boat Festival.
